I agree. I workout and train with both the AWU and an Epix Pro 2 Sapphire. The Garmin cadence locks somewhat frequently. The AWU never has. The Garmin has actually crashed twice, mid activity. This has never happened with the AWU. Apple seems to overestimate calories burned. Garmin is much more real

Looks like the glass on the Balance 2 is better than the XT and it has the golf app. Cautiously optimistic after playing around with the XT for half an hour. I have both watches. If you somewhat liked the XT, you're gonna be good with the premium version, the Balance 2. ill pretty skeptical of this
