I preordered the ES1, and ended up cancelling it. Bought a Profitec Move instead. I cancelled because I read a thread on r/Fellowproducts about the Aiden app and software updates. In a nutshell, the Aiden coffee makers get bricked by issues with software updates, and the app is finicky as hell. If t

Your support headaches are the reason I stopped sending my Ode Gen 2 back and forth for repairs (motors keep seizing) and decided to literally toss it off a cliff and replace it with a Sculptor 064S. That said, I also have an Aiden and it DOES make good coffee. I got mine in March of 2025 and I don'

Nice setup. I recently upgraded to a Fellow ES1 espresso machine and then sold it. That experience made me realize how good the Bambino Plus is for the price, so I went back to a new Bambino in the sesame color. It has much more character than the stainless steel look.

Similar situation here in the UK with the Espresso Series 1. Folks pre-ordered with exclusivity through Coffee Merch only to find that the machine then launched with stock readily available at another retailer where the CEO was promoting the launch. Yet us early backers with pre-orders have no timef

I want to ask a tough question that I think would give Nick the opportunity to really address public perception/community concerns: Fellow says that the ES1 went through a rigorous testing process before release, and by all accounts, they did do a testing process. In fact, there was the delay in shi

They shipped thousands of pre-orders last week, and most people who pre-ordered are probably coffee nerds who are on Reddit, not just average consumers. Given that context, I don’t think 6 DOA posts indicates a huge problem… it’s less than half a percent of the number they shipped. People rave about

Your reply is much appreciated. Criticizing Fellow online is not the path towards meaningless, affirmative upvotes. I used to be an informal, part-time member of the Fellow cult myself. But then they intentionally broke my Aiden, right after I had fixed it. It made me simply write off the ES1. If th

You're literally making things up to satisfy your own argument. Really? OP clearly said he has done the same puck prep routine for several years - yet you want to believe he became an idiot in between shots. On a different grinder and machine. Varia VS4 was available for sale Feb 2026. ES1 is also n

Reliability of Series 1 is our number 1 priority. The reason for the shift in mass production was so that we didn't need to make the machine get a performance hit to meet our goals. We accelerate life test everything to meet a MINIMUM 5 year bar (this doesn't mean the product breaks after 5 years, i

One major disappointment for ES1 is that the Fellow Drops offer no guidance on what grind setting to use for its own Opus 2 grinder. My expectation was that I buy the drop and its already dialed in with exactly the grind and brew settings so I dont waste beans. But every recipe just says "Start in t
