SSD tier list has Adata Legend 860 as low tier, while Fanxiang S880 is mid tier. . The S770 that the other commenter is high tier though, though mas mahal ng 700 pesos (3k ang S880 kung sa Shopee mobile app ka tumingin). I think 700 pesos is fine for a better SSD, but the S770 is also ok kung budget

Primo Pc (aiuti)

Any other cheapskates here who uses cheap ass SSDs on their PS5? Here's mine, and it's surprisingly okay.

Yeah, I've had the Fanxiang S880 4TB in mine for 3 years, no issues. The Lexar NM790 heatsink is a good value option if people don't want to buy a no name brand SSD.

My PCIE 4 SSD Is Downloading Extremely Slowly

It's because your SSD has no dram. It's good for burst speeds and random reads and writes, but its horrible for sustained writes and often drops to below HDD speeds. My fanxiang s880 1tb behaves similarly, and also drops severely during heavy sustained writes. My wd black sn850x 2tb on the other han

Fake Samsung 990 PRO SSD is getting harder to distinguish from the real drive

Pre

Is this a good mid range build?

Don't limit yourself to one supplier, especially Overclockers, who are generally overpriced; just buy your components from the cheapest, reputable supplier. Looking for storage for my gaming PC and I’m trying to stay cheap.

This. Bought a Fanxiang S880 1TB for $175 a few months ago, just bought a Netac NV7000-t 1 TB for $129, both from Aliexpress. Those were and are better prices than the current 1TB NVMe SSD offerings on PCPARTPICKER Canada. 1TB 2.5" SSDs start at $174 (including gst) for slower connection speeds. The
