Switching to Reolink

I have 3 eufy e340 spotlight cams, a doorbell, and the eufy s4 max nvr set up with 4 cams no issues. Granted s4 max is hard wired but the wirless cams are fine especially since I don't have to pay a monthly fee to ring like I used to. I also have home base 3 hard wired in and no issues.

Help with camera placement

I would go with PTZ on positions 1,2,3,4 something like the Eufy S4 Solar or Eufy S4 Max NVR mounted with a corner bracket you can monitor opposite sides at the same time. Then go with fixed camera on position 5 and you should have all bases covered. Eufy do a really good corner bracket made from me

S3 Pro vs Reolink Trackmix - wildlife viewing

Since nobody has responded to my post, I did some additional research and I believe the Eufy S4 Max may be the better camera for detecting and recording wildlife. Reasons are (1) the S4 Max is a native PoE camera supporting continuous recording over wired Ethernet. The S3 Pro can only record over Wi

Looking to install a full PoE security system – going with Eufy S4 Max. Smart move?

Thank you for this. I appreciate it. I was looking at Reolink Trackmix and Eufy S4 Max. I was worried about false notification. I'll stick with Reolink. Both cost about $2000 for 8 cameras and a receiver.

Eufy is currently not a serious security product. Bugs and no fail safes.

That's why you go with proper security cameras that are recognized as enterprise/business-level CCTV (Hanwa, Axis, Dahua, Avigilon, etc.). (I know some cameras are banned, some aren't. I'm naming cameras that are supposed to be professional/business-level.) Eufy and Ubiquity are like Apple; they giv

PoE system install — looking for suggestions on cameras + placement

Thanks for the great write-up – exactly the kind of no-BS advice I needed. I’m down to these three hardwired PoE setups for a 2550 sq ft single-story + pool (9 cams + doorbell, soffit mounts ~8-9 ft, all turrets/bullets, solid copper Cat6): Reolink – ~$1,410 • RLN16-410 NVR + 8 TB • Doorbell PoE • R

Reolink WIFI vs Eufy WIFI

I fixed the post, accidentally missed the W in the model number for the first Reolink. I mainly don’t want to drill holes in the house or dig to run Ethernet cables. House was built in 1957 with plaster interior walls and no eves on the exterior for easy cable routing. While POE is absolutely doable
