Go with the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 if you want future RAM and storage flexibility. Go with the Dell Latitude 7410 if you prefer a compact, premium, and lightweight chassis. In general, I would recommend saving the money and putting it toward an additional RAM stick later. However, the Latitude 7410 doe

I use the touchscreen on my Dell Latitude 7410 2-in-1 and never had a problem under KDE Plasma. Didn't have to setup Firefox in a specific way or anything.

Don't buy HP. Embarrassingly bad build quality. Lenovo or Dell are good options. You can get an i7 11 gen Dell Latitude 7410 for around 75-90k depending on the specs. Bright display, 14" inch with a solid build quality. Since you'd be coding though, I'd recommend a 15" laptop. Prioritize a good disp

You can get a really good refurbished business laptop from 299 to 425. Latitude, Thinkpad, HP Elite book. I5 gen 8 thru 11 and 8 or 16gb of ram. Ryzen 5 pro 5000 models are good too. This is a good Dell model. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/dell-latitude-7410-core-i5-10310u-1-7ghz-8gb-256gb-ssd-14-

Seems to be: Intel 10th gen U series CPU 16 GB of RAM DDR3 RAM Most likely an Inspiron or Dell Latitude 7410/7510. Check the bottom of the laptop to verify. If you can afford it, just upgrade to a newer laptop. If not, the cost to repair will be greater than getting a refurbished Latitude 7440.

It probably will. My laptop is a Dell Latitude 7410 with Core I5 Gen 10 processor, integrated graphics, 512GB ROM, 16GB RAM and the beta ran extremely well.

I have a lot of experience with Dell and Dell batteries. Their battery tends to wear out fast, while some can wear out 80%, like I have a bunch of Dell latitude 7410, some also wear out fast but actually not physically wearing out, those would down to 0% then run for another hour or so. Once in that

If you are buying the laptop to be dedicated to this, and want it to last as long as possible, I'd suggest getting something newer and with better specs so it can last longer. That's a 8-9 year old processor already. I looked up the refurb your mentioned on Walmart, it's $200. Upgrading that to 16G/

I'm not saying his machine is capable of handling complex edits, but OP should be able to get a minimum of audio and video playback without choppy/ lagging audio without any edits. I had this exact issue on my Dell Latitude 7410, and my gaming rig(12400KF, 48GB DDR4, 1660Super). OBS by default recor
