Say what you will about Prusa, but my Mini+ that is nearly 6 years old and still receives firmware updates including input shaping shows the long term value. Bambu started in 2022, I think, so it still has to prove itself long term. Not saying it isn't any good. If I wanted reliability today VS my C

Build the Trident. That's the design that the Chinese companies copied and reproduced with the cheapest parts avaliable. But it is nowhere near the same cost. Doing a triple Z on a K series only requires three 20T pulleys, three motors, and three closed loop GT2 belts, and probably mucking about wit

Most modern printers will give you what you’re looking for. With regards to print settings, the most hands off option is usually sticking with a brand and their own filament. I bought a Creality K1 Max over a year ago and for the most part printed just fine using Creality filament and Creality’s def

Love my A1. Yes it's a closed ecosystem, but so is Apple, and the iPhone is doing just fine. The A1 is an unbox, auto calibrate and start printing printer. I get why people don't like the company, but their printers just work. I also have an H2D and a Creality K1 Max. I don't even use the K1 much an

I have a Kobra S1 and a Creality K1 Max. I’ve never had major problems with either. I use the S1 for multicolor prints, K1 Max gets used for fast prototyping, single color, and more exotic materials. I like both of them a lot. Main gripe with K1 Max is the bed warp issues, but I rooted, installed ma

check the bed mesh, it’s probably not level and the probe can only compensate so much. you can print bed shims that will even it out to fix this, i did it on mine and the bed variance went from 1mm to .3mm with much cleaner first layers https://www.printables.com/model/681528-bed-shims-fits-creality

Mine is rooted just fine, though I have not yet updated to the latest firmware, as I saw quite a few with issues with it. As the creator I may be considered biased. but these two upgrades made a huge difference on my printer in quality and noise.I have not seen any other tube/chain mods quite like m

The stock bed also turned taco for me once i started printing engineering filaments. I would recommend the r3men graphite bed, many advantages. You can read about it here: https://www.r3men.com/products/graphite-heated-bed-for-creality-k1-max

You can even set it up entirely without wifi / the bambu app.And I just use OrcaSlicer over LAN. Just make sure you enable "Developer Mode" on the printer. I had to update it once to enable the AMS2's drying features, but it will never touch the internet aside from that. I've had a CR-10s for almost

Im not saying Creality is perfect, they are not. I have 6 Creality 3d Printers, the oldest is my K1 Max, just about 2 years old, nothing major has broken, original unicorn hotend, original extruder etc. nothing major. Had to replace the Hotend PCB , because i fucked up, broke the lidar connector. I
