Corsair TC500 Luxe. It's pretty wide. I can comfortably sit on it legs crossed and my girlfriend always snuggles next to me while I'm on it.

Yes, I have the Corsair TC500 Luxe. I am very happy with it. I have never owned a Downix, so I can't say. That being said, if your friend lives close by to you, you could visit him and ask him to try out his chair. There is no better judge of what you want other than yourself.
