Two months of progress on my latte art journey! From blob to a heart
Thanks man! Trust me, I had plenty of onion shaped hearts before this lol. To be honest, I’m a total newbie too, so the casabrews 5418 pro is actually the only machine I’ve ever used. I did a ton of research in this sub before finally pulling the trigger on it. I can't really give you professional a

Any tips? [Casabrews CM5418 Pro]
Honest to god…this is the only relevant question and only one person asked it. The replacement portafilter has a deep chamber, so you either use more coffee to fill it (even with a screen to take up a millimeter or two) or you are going to get slop at any coarseness. But the real question is what do

Thinking of get this Blue Willow machine for my mom’s birthday, thoughts?
I have a regular casabrew 5418. It’s definitely entry level, but for a semi beginner, it’s super easy to handle. Just make sure to get her some decent beans. Since it's a pre order, did they say when it's shipping? My mom’s birthday is in June and I’m tempted now lol.

Trying To Get Into Espresso [$500]
Everyone is suggesting the Breville Bambino, however the Casabrews 5418 pro costs less (a little under $200) with similar performance a similar fast heating system (its ready to go 3 seconds after power on, 5 seconds to switch from shots to steam). I've had really good luck with it. I also purchased

Looking for Opinions on a Couple (very) Beginner Machines [$130-$150]
I have the Casabrew CM5418 Pro, it appears to have the ultra fast heating element that the Bambino has. There isn’t a ton of research or videos on the CM5418 Pro but I think it’s been a great machine and appears to be worth the upgrade from the non pro version. It heats up in literally three seconds

Barista Basics
Congrats on starting your barista journey! Basically, espresso is all about pressure, forcing hot water through finely ground coffee at about 9 bars to extract the oils and flavors in ~30 seconds. For beans, most shops use medium to dark roasts because they're easier to balance; light roasts can be t

I am considering upgrading from Casa Brews 5418 to the Breville Bambino. My budget is [$500], is this a good transition or what would you suggest?
I’ve got the Casabrew 5418 pro with a Baratza ESP and in my opinion from the research I’ve done, the Bambino isn’t a big enough step up to warrant the money. I haven’t figured out what my next machine will be (if at all, honestly) but I think I’ll be buying a new grinder first. If the machine died r

Beginner Friendly machine [$200]
Don’t let anyone tell you you have to spend more than $200. Casabrews 5418 or 5418 pro is your answer. Been using that for about 4 months twice daily with my DF54 and it’s been great.
