I've owned these sets. The PX8 S2 is energetic out of the box; the recessed midrange, and boosted treble and low frequencies are how most consumer headphones are tuned, which is why some listeners will have issues with sibilance on certain sets. I've had my PX7 S3 for about a month now and I'm absolutely in love with them. The sound, the feel and the quality has completely converted me to a B&W guy. While I would like to have a pair of the px8 s2 at some point, I am in no rush to get them.
