If you were constantly using it outside and need the waterproofing then I would say yes. But if sound quality is more important then I would save up and jump straight to Beolit 20.

Beolit 20 is mono, Beosound A5 is stereo. Enlarging the circle adds more "surround sound" effect, but that has nothing to do with the sound actually being played being mono or stereo.
