I have mm-500 and I absolutely love them. I have kii three jn a treated room and audeze sounds really close. Simply amazing

I have the 250 ohm version. I use them for tracking and spot checking, but I'd never even consider mixing with them -- I use audeze MM-500 for that. Yes, the low end is a bit unreliable if you were to mix with them.

I enjoy the discussion! But honestly, the headphone upgrade is mostly about fun and comfort, not miracles in your mix. Artifacts from calibration are real but you can learn to hear past them... HD800 is a vastly different headphone from HD600. It also won’t fix your problem with bass extension as HD800 bass is also its biggest weakness. What you will get from HD800 is an extremely wide presentation with much brighter treble. It will make everything sound wide, even when u might not want it

The LCD-5 are very expensive, but compared to my room they cost nothing. Still you can pick up headphones like the Audeze MM500, Audeze LCD-X, Hifiman Arya, and many more which retail much cheaper :)

no headphones are as good as high quality speakers My Audeze MM500's beg to differ. They're better than my $25k monitors.
