For the price of 3x Beelink Mini Mate's could you not get a 6-bay Flash NAS like the Asustor Flashstor, gen1 or gen2? Has 10gb onboard and proper RAID + CPU. More reliable I would say. The gen1 is very cheap. It won't be 11,000mbs but it will flood the ethernet 10gbe connection nicely.

I think there is nothing on the market that will thick all of the boxes. Closest will be AOOSTAR WTR MAX 8845 with 5NVMe support and 6SATA - you could use SATA SSDs alongside NVMe drives. But the box is bigger than typical flash-only NAS. Next would be ASUSTOR Flashstore 6 Pro Gen2 or 12 Pro Gen2. T

Glad you are happy with it, but to the locked into someone else's interface...that's synology. I've used asustor which allows 3rd party OSs. These are things I went through before pulling the trigger. Pi nas was one of those I investigated, and it's processing speed was a hindrance towards what I wa

If I used this solution would you say it quite enough to have the Ugreen in the bedroom? I’m looking to get my first NAS and would ideally like to get the Ugreen DXP4800.But when asking Google Gemini it says that it’s not the best idea to keep it in the bedroom as it’s quite noisy. It’s currently th

Wouldn’t make sense to get the Ugreen NAS just to use the SSD part of it. If that’s the case I may as well just get the Asustor Flashstor or Terramaster F8, which can hold more SSDs increasing the amount of storage I have. But appreciate your advice

I think everyone would have their personal preference. For me, I wanted to set up an all SSD NAS and run TrueNAS, so I got an Asustor Flashstor and replaced the built in Asus OS with TrueNAS. Seems to work well, but obviously costs more than an existing laptop or hard drives and is pretty much overk

I have Flashstor 6 for 2 years and I seldom feel its existence under TV closet as it is there available always and makes no sound. How long have you used this NAS? Did you use compatible M.2 SSD? And is the fan clean of dust? Asustor Portal and X.org all latest?
