I’ve been using Arlo for around 7 years. Ultra 2’s and Pro’s. Just added a doorbell. I have had 3 other systems prior. It’s been virtually trouble free. Any issues I’ve had, Arlo has been helpful.

Am considering switching back to Arlo as my current camera from other brand broke. But it seems like the brand has gone downhill according to this subreddit?
I have Arlo Ultra 2 cameras and the 5000 base station and an essential and 2 pro 4s along with a wifi doorbell. All working well together over WiFi to base. However, I am switching to NVR system to save on subscription fees.

end of vmc3030 working at all?
done this already, TEN times each camera, still nothing. they clearly have disabled the support. two of them becoming completely useless at the identical time following a base station reboot, they locked them out. If you have VMC3030's that still work, count your days, they will stop soon too. (yes

Device appears offline
Mine only had this sporadic with the camera’s connected to my own wifi (doorbell and pro4’s) The ultra and ultra2’s have it more frequently, my guess is the base stations are garbage and don’t have a good reconnect mechanism. What normally works is rebooting the base station here, but not always (ha

Biggest waste of money
I moved to Dahua, or more am moving, one camera in front of our house at the moment as I need to wire them (new system is poe). The 4k or pro4 arlo camera vs a 4mp real camera is crazy, bitrate settings, night time quality make it that I can see it is a car on Arlo, but read the license plate on my

Is Arlo really that bad
I have 18 Arlo cameras in use and I think they’re great! I have 12 Ultra 2, 5 Pro 2 and 1 Essential.

Finally giving up on Arlo
The Arlo 2 was only released in 2021 or 2022 I think? 🤔 I remember I bought my Arlo Ultra 1st gen in 2020-2021 and the ultra 2 came out shortly after that. They were expensive at the time. I recently bought 2 - 3 camera kits on sale for less than it would have cost to replace 4 batteries. If your ca

Reuse your EOL'ed Arlo Cameras by running your own Arlo Base Station
I too have just bought a couple of Reolinks - more for extra coverage than to replace my Ultra 2s but I do like the auto-tracking and zoom of the Ultra 2s but I hate the constant arm-twisting to get me to sign up for another "plan" from Arlo . .

Arlo is terrible
+1 Our family has been using Arlo for about six years now… even upgraded the entire set of cameras to the Ultra 2 + added the doorbell. I don’t know what to tell anyone, but it just works for us. I know there are products with better features, but this meets our needs atm. 🤷♂️

Yes. I have few ultra 2 and the hub but i can’t see records from hub only if i am connected on home wifi. I have subscription only for one camera and its give many false object recognition (almoust all leafs moves as vehicle, animals or people). If you have subscription it can’t record 4k on hub, ev
