Arlo no longer recording or alerting
UPDATE: I succeeded resetting and configuring my Floodlight cams. If you need to remove and re-add your wireless cameras, sometimes the device fails to connect and you need to try again. I removed all 14 Arlo devices (Doorbells, Pro4 cams, Wireless Floodlights) and re-added them to ensure a stable e

I'm leaving Arlo, finally! Who did you switch to?
eufy. In many ways akin to Arlo (not a technological step up, like Unifi would be), but after a month I'd say "better." First and foremost, no cloud subscription needed, and yet full AI capabilities available if you have a HomeBase 3. Secondly, app is just better designed (e.g., can set so mode chan

Arlo no longer recording or alerting
Same issue - impacting 11 Arlo pro 4 cameras, 5 door sensors. It’s an outage for sure - all stopped detecting motion and recording after 8PM ET on 3/20. I waited for over an hour in queue for support, then was forcibly logged out when the rep connected to chat. I then receive a canned response sayin

Arlo now requires a subscription?
I am new to Arlo, bought it all used. Have 2 bases and 8 cameras. All get recording (Arlo Pro 1) except an Arlo Pro 4 which requires subscription. I just don’t use the 4. Not paying for the privilege. That being said my account is a month old and no issues. It sounds like a problem I had at first wh

Odd choice to scale down the aspect ratio in landscape view for the mobile app.
I just read on the community board that it is a known issue... Hopefully they fix it in the next patch.https://community.arlo.com/t5/Arlo-Pro-4/Arlo-app-full-screen-video-issue/td-p/2466956

Ultra 2 Motion detection
I had arlo for 10 years before I finally left. I had the Gen 1 and the the Arlo pro 4 XL I finally left when they hiked up the subscription to $20+ per month and when they updated their app which completely broke my system. I persevered with them because I was so vested with them. Their servers cons

I’m Done, Finally
I have officially left Arlo 2 days ago after using it for 2 years. I removed all 3 cameras (Arlo Pro 4 2K video) + keypad + door sensor + the hub. Also canceled the super expensive $300 subscription. Installed 2 Eufy E40 2K cameras + keypad + door sensor. I've already owned 1 Eufy 4K cam & Eufy S380

I'm leaving Arlo, finally! Who did you switch to?
Well, ok. I got 4ea S3 Pro's plus HomeBase 3 and a 1 TB drive for $599 as a Black Friday deal. The S3 Pro's seemed like a good match to replace the Arlo Pro 4's (though an upgrade as mentioned above) . The HB3's capabilities (incl AI identification) were comparable to the Arlo cloud-based capabiliti

Looking at RainPoint vs Orbit B-hyve - anyone used both?
RainPoint’s build is solid for indoor use, but for outdoor weather it can get flaky after a few months. If you need something tougher, the Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight Camera holds up well in rain and runs about $149.99.

Starting all over, looking to move from IoT to local network
i've been tinkering with home setups for a while, and i found the arlo pro 4 spotlight camera works great for diy rigs. it's got solid night vision, runs on batteries, and the app is pretty responsive. i paid about $149.99 for it, which seemed fair for the features. also, the ring video doorbell 4 i
