Deliberately Burning In My QD-OLED Monitor - 18 Month Update - Monitors Unboxed
I didn’t even have to try. My Alienware QD-OLED burned in quite noticeably after only 10 months.

What's the quality like of Wootware's recent "WootVision" monitors?
I, on a whim, bought one of the mentioned monitors to 'test.' Compared to my ~25k dell alienware (AW3423DWF) - The wootvision monitors are VASTLY superior in terms of price/perf. The only 'real' drawback of them is 100% colour reproduction. I recommend these wootvision monitors to everyone unless th

OLED monitor
Alienware 1440p Oled ultrawide is great. Pretty good price on sale. I’d really look into ultrawide. To me it was revolutionary. AW3423DWF is the model i have.

LG Display unveils world’s first 240Hz RGB stripe OLED panel
You're probably overthinking it. I've got an Alienware AW3423DWF about 2 years old. During the day I use it as an external monitor connected to my work laptop, with largely static Windows screens. After work, I use it for gaming and general purpose Windows usage. It easily gets 60+ hours/wk of usage

New OLED: 1440p or 4K?
34 ultra wide 1440p is the sweet spot for me. I’ve got the first gen Alienware qd-oled and it’s been great with my build.

Neglected my Series X
I went with the Alienware AW3423DWF. They’ve updated it with the AW3425AW that improved the refresh rate from 165 hertz to 240. EDIT: Most media has the black bars on the side as it’s not ultrawide compatible (YouTube, Netflix, etc.). The vast majority of games on PC have ultrawide support and I’ve

AW2725DF vs AW3425DW Panel/Display
They should be fairly similar. I run an AW3423DWF alongside an AW2725DF, and I don't see much/any variance between them.

Looking for a new monitor for MSFS
No question, this one - Alienware 34” 1440p/280Hz OLED AW3426DW. It’s $799 from Dell. I have the 2023 model which is 165hz and absolutely love it. It’s actually on sale right not for $650 on amazon if you need a budget alternative, the AW3423DWF.

Shouldn't DDC/CI max out when HDR is on?
Its not using using HDR to do it. Power usage does not go down just because KDE has set your brightness to 50% and your monitor is running at 100%. I actually tested this with a wattometer. Essentially its wasting power because your screen is actually at 100% even though it doesnt look like it. If t

Alright my fellow Reddit friends
I think you've got a pretty great setup here especially for your very first rig. The 9070 XT is a great GPU, though it might not still be amazing in 5 years considering it's currently the best option the "budget gpu" category has to offer in 2026. The real gem of your build choice: The rest of the P
