Wow, a lot of you bought 1-4 of them for the Analogue 3D. For various reasons, I don’t think this sold too many units for original hardware or for Switch / software emulators / PC.

ModRetro made it work with a wired N64 plug. That should work fine. Only Analogue can make it support a native Bluetooth connection unless the ModRetro controller spoofs the NSO N64 controller somehow. Playing right now with an 8BitDo 64 and an OLED TV. This was my favorite game as a kid and I CANNOT OVERSTATE how monumentally crazy it feels to be playing with this responsiveness, fluidity, and original yet modern control scheme. It's a second honeymoon y'all!

Except that feature hasn’t been implemented yet… so, yes, you do need a controller pak unless you have a 8BitDo 64.

I think it’s crazy Analogue hasn’t made this compatible with the official NSO N64 controller. I was really looking forward to chilling on the couch playing my 3D with the trident controller. I wonder if they have a deal with 8bit to wait a few months before updating the Bluetooth functionality after

The controller is fantastic in my opinion. If the A3D was compatible I'd be using that, but the M64 + M64 Pro Con is just so nice compared to using the 8BitDo 64 controller and 3D

It’s just the controller. The NSO is switch protocol, and A3D’s implementation of that isn’t optimized like the DirectInput implementation on 8BitDo 64.

With the 8bitdo 64 controller you can swap buttons, but you have to do it every time you boot up the game and it doesn't do stick inversion. I do hope they expand on this in later updates though. Considering the controller can save "controller pak" data you'd think it could store a little button map
